Jim Dobbin MP : Chair of The All Party Parliamentary Group for Involuntary Tranquilliser Addiction (APPGITA). A labour MP, first elected to the House of Common in 1997 for Heywood and Middleton. He worked as a microbilogist within the NHS for 33 years.

Barry Haslam North West Regional co-ordinator – Prescribed the Benzodiazepine Ativan between 1976 and 1986. He lost ten years of his life but in 1987 he found a new one, he “set off on a trek” to help others, seek the truth on benzodiazepine drugs. Barry is the founder of the Tranx (Oldham) Support Group.
